The restaurant offers a great choice of traditional local dishes: typical raviolis (casoncelli), polenta with melted cheese, beef or rabbit with mushrooms, as well as fresh fish dishes proposed on Fridays. For desserts, Frollino centralino, a cookie made with a local variety of corn.

The structure has comfortable rooms, each with their own private bathroom. We decided to dedicate the theme of the rooms to the seasons, furnishing each one with the colours of the four different periods of the year. Soft shades of pastels create a calm atmosphere for a relaxing stay.

In the pleasant and welcoming atmosphere of our bright, airy dining area, the bar and restaurant offer the opportunity to taste the local products of Valle Seriana. For our menus we have chosen regional specialities linked to our culture, such as Casonsei (hearty pasta parcels stuffed with meat and herbs), Scarpinoc, Bertu, local cheeses and cured meats.

Throughout the year we hold special evenings dedicated to the Bergamasco regional produce, according to their season and harvest; re-discovering ancient recipes from our rich culinary heritage. In the hostel we have set up a little sales point from which you can purchase delicious local products, such as fruits of the forest jam , mountain honey and home-made desserts; excellent souvenirs to take home from your visit.

This mountain hut is located

There is a vast choice of meat dishes, including stews like shin of pork peppered with garlic and rosemary, saddle of rabbit stuffed with boletus mushrooms, stewed donkey with onions in white wine accompanied by polenta taragna. Then there is grilled meat such as T-bone steak, fillet, lamb chops, zigoiner, mixed grills served with grilled vegetables.

The trattoria also has an interesting wine list, and mid-day there is rapid service suited to business lunches.

In 2013 has been renovated, creating a cozy room in the cellar downstairs, suitable for romantic dinners or for those who want a little privacy.

Not far from the restaurant there is the access to the path that leads to the Sanctuary of Perello in the municipality of Algua, one of the oldest in Bergamo. With a pleasant walk you arrive at this place in the woods, with frescoes of the sixteenth centuries and testimonies of the apparition of Our Lady took place in 1413.

The restaurant is close to bike path the runs along the river Serio and for those who love walking there are paths for Monte Bue and Vallerossa, which start right nearby. A few meters away there is also the Paleontological Park where in 1973 was found the oldest pterosaur in the world (now preserved at the Museum of Natural Science in Bergamo).

The chef specializes in traditional dishes, made with local products. Try “casoncelli” made with the mountain butter and homemade bread every day, with several local flour. For those who prefer the pizza, try the pizza semi-integral kneaded by hand with a mixture of flours. The dough is a collaboration with the bakery Zucca of Casnigo, winner of the “Bread for Bergamo”. Pizza is very digestible because it is used a little bit of yeast.

It has several fields for sport activities and it’s the perfect place for business lunches or evenings with friends. The restaurant offers typical local dishes, meat and fish specialities and wood oven pizza.
