Cà di Bore in Aviatico is a typical mountain restaurant, a rustic atmosphere with tree trunks, called ‘bore’ in the Bergamascan dialect. From here you can enjoy a wonderful view over Seriana and Brembana Valleys and Poieto Mountain (reachable by chairlifts situated just 50 meters from the restaurant).
The restaurant was built in 1974 and is run by Mimmo and Tina with their children Marco and Alessandro. The restaurant creates exquisite dishes.
Mimmo is also the sommelie and he takes care of the high level wine cellar: here there is an outstanding selection of prestigious national and foreign wines, as well as a magnificent range of grappas and other distilled drinks, for a total of 700 various types.
Many of the perfumed and light sliced meats are homemade by Mimmo, who was a butcher and knows how to wisely use this knowledge in the kitchen: salami, “presiata”, a type of salami made with pigs cheek, braised beef in Barolo, wild boar stew with vegetables, home grown Scottona steaks.
The pasta dishes are homemade, including the ravioli made with ricotta, spinach and herbal cheese, the “foiade” with mushrooms, the “turcei”, fresh pasta with green spinach and topped with a homemade pesto and extra virgin olive oil.
The desserts and ice-creams are also strictly homemade and are to be sampled.
